Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Siperly — the wine-discovery app at app.siperly.com and this website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility — legal drinking age
Siperly is about wine. You must be at least 21 years old — or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher — to create an account or use the Service. We collect your date of birth at signup to verify this. If we learn that a user does not meet this requirement, we will terminate the account.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account: keep your password confidential, keep your account information accurate, and let us know promptly at privacy@siperly.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the ratings, reviews, and tasting notes you create ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Siperly a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service — for example, showing your review to other users or using your ratings to improve recommendations. You are responsible for what you post; do not post content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract content or data from the Service;
- harass or abuse other users, or post abusive, hateful, or deceptive content;
- use the Service for any illegal purpose, or in violation of alcohol laws that apply to you;
- attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
5. Recommendations — no warranty of accuracy
Siperly may suggest wines, wineries, and pairings based on your taste profile. These suggestions are for discovery and entertainment. We do not warrant that any recommendation, description, price, availability, or winery detail is accurate, complete, or current. Always verify details (including hours and offerings) with the winery or retailer directly.
6. Alcohol disclaimer
Drink responsibly. Siperly does not sell, deliver, or facilitate the purchase of alcohol. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to consume alcohol, and nothing in the Service is medical advice. Do not drink and drive. If you choose to drink, do so legally and in moderation.
7. Service provided "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Siperly and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in the app (Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete my account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 7, 8, and 10) survive.
10. Governing law

11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
